Engine and Deputy Chief First Due To Southwood Fire

2/11/23 at 14:19hrs Taunton was dispatched to a reported stove fire in the 4500blk of Southwood Heights Drive in the Southwood Fire district. Engine 6 (Lt Martin) and Car 2 (Chief Amidon) staffed in quarters responded on dispatch. Engine 6 arrived as the first due engine to find the fire was knocked down with dry chemical extinguisher. The Taunton crew removed the appliances from the kitchen, checked for extension and ventilated the smoke from first and second floors of the residence. Units operated on scene for approximately 40minutes.
