July 21st a
t 19:18 hours, Solvay fire was dispatched for a possible vehicle fire at the Lamont Tavern. As more 911 calls came in, callers reported the vehicle fire spreading to the structure. At 19:25 hours, the alarm was upgraded to a possible structure fire, per the request of the arriving Solvay unit. Taunton Engine 6 (Captain Wilbur) with Car’s 1 (Chief Phelan), 2 (Chief Amidon) & 3 (Chief Klimek) responded on dispatch. Units arrived and were instructed to stage as the initial Solvay units had made a quick and aggressive knock on the fire. Taunton units were returned to service a short time later.
