8/3/24 at 08:30 hours this morning, Taunton was activated for a reported Residential Fire in the Solvay Fire District. Initial reports were made of a possible bedroom fire, and arriving police units reported heavy smoke showing. Subsequently, a Signal “99” was transmitted by Solvay Command. Taunton Engine 4 (Captain Rudiger) and Car 1 (Chief Phelan) handled the assignment. Engine 4 arrived 2nd due and conducted primary searches of the first and second floor. Units also assisted with salvage and overhaul. Taunton units remained on scene and were released around 10:30 hours.
